How do get the stalk roll bolts out of the alum. shafts?

Got a 963 IH corn head.

I would like to reverse the stalk roll knives.

Problem: how do you get the stalk roll knife bolts out of the aluminum stalk roll shafts? I can get some out, but others are stuck.

Also, why did IH use aluminum stalk roll knife shafts?
