For the FT to work automatically, the header needs to be equipped with separate harness and sensors on each end of the header.
Go to CNH parts page, type in "field tracker", 1680 field tracker will come up, then go to electrical system, then 1020 header & harness. There will be all the parts you will need. Or ask your parts man if a kit is available, that I don't know.
