reel runs slow

I have a 1660 with a 20' 1020 head. There is also a chaff spreader plumbed into these hydraulics. The reel will operate all right early in the day but later when the oil heats up it will slow way down. It is the same in automatic or manual reel speed control. What is most likely the problem? Thanks
