Pods in the test is usually from worn out leading edes on concave bars. The squarer the edge the better the thrash. Cover plates do help, they reduce the area that the crop can fall through, therefore causing more material to rub on material. This is thrashing. All new combines or new concaves will clean up the hull problem. We rebuild all combine concaves and rotor or cylinder bars, hardface them and guarantee concaves for 3000 hours.
