I am still tossing around the idea of a 480 combine. Just need to have a few more questions answered. First off what would a 480 with RWA and dualls weigh. Also would a 30 rigid header be a waste of time with a machine of that size out on the wheat run or would one be much better off with a 36' Draper head. Also how hard would it be to find another owner with single drive tires who would be willing to trade for a set of dualls. How is the straw quality for baling behind the machine? What wear items should I really look for and what items would be a necessity for spare parts on the road.. Any help would be greatly appriciated. We currently run 2388s 2 with 36' drapers and 2 with 30' rigid heads I was just thinking of replacing one with the cat I am not sure if it is wise decision or a poor one.. Thanks in advance...
