I was wondering if any one could tell me how well the Vario cutterbar works in crops that have lodged. We just have the standard claas cutterbar and when we a harvesting canary seed which is lodged and lying away from the direction of travel it feeds in evenly. But when it's lying towards the the cutterbar it doesn't feed evenly it builds up on the knife and lumps go through sometimes blocking the drum. Sometimes the knife just pulls the crop out by the roots and builds up with dirt. Would a Vario cutterbar help with these problems and provide a more even feed in lodged crops.
