Have not been agianst a 9750, dealer was too busy to bring one out. Talked to people who have ran against and appears in perfect rotary cond. (dry short straw, straight cut during day) that the 480 was about 15 - 20% larger. In less than ideal cond. the difference is 50%+, a Lexion 470 seems to more in the 9750 size class.
We have been very happy to go to one machine, although we swap work with a neighbor at the start of harvest when he hasn't started yet and then we usally finish before him and help him finish up.
It's tough to go to one machine but we are much more relaxed during harvest now as we swap out two operators so nobody is that tired. We try to run from sunrise till midnight. We also run a grain cart which helps combine efficiency.
Good luck
