I'am a JD mech ; 9860 has a 12.5 engine and no HPCR like the 8.1 you have to reboot the ECU to gain the HP you want; not sure about 9400,combine too small to be popular up in the prairies!the 8.1 uses a resistor to fool the rail pressure to think it has a lower pressure and give it more fuel. There has been some engine piston failures due to the chip,extra power ia nice but loosing an engine during harvest sucks!!!
