We generally run at least 325 to 350 on cylinder speed and have the concave out to 7, or a little less. Check for cylinder bar and concave wear to see if they meet specs. I did have a problem a few years ago like you mention and I discovered a broken out spider wheel in the cylinder that allowed the cylinder to float up which resulted with corn left on the cob. If memory serves me right there are two drive wheel spiders in a 9400 and the others are so called floating.
