I am a young farmer liveing in Kentucky and am having a hard time getting help. I am going to grow a few acres of oilseed sunflowers to sell as birdseed in local stores. I can't afford to buy a new head yet. Also I use my uncle's John Deere 4425 with a 444 corn head and a 213 flex platform. I am not allowed to make any major non removable changes.
Is it possible to do a decent job with this equipment. I want to try one crop in this humid climate before I make any equipment purchases that are over $100. If you can please help me with this and any other information that I will need to know I would greatly appreciate it.
