I believe the coupler and/or the gearbox output shaft is stripped out. Was finishing up wheat, cutting some muddy spots and heard a horrible noise. Stopped everything and found that turning the rotor belt does not make the rotor turn. Gearbox will switch between high and low with no change to the rotor. When looking through the inspection door and turn the belt I can see the rotor jump each time I hear a clicking noise.
I suspect the gearbox will have to come off also, this part of the job concerns me more than the rest with the variable pulley and all. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated as I have never been in this part of the machine. Also anything to look at while inside or mods to consider (wheat and milo).
Thanks,
John
