Take rotor out first, then check gearbox. The gearbox may still be good. Have change out both not as bad as it looks. Their are 2 different sizes of rotor cups, short and long. We found it was cheaper to put in a used shaft and cup than buying a new cup. If you are close to South east Nebraska I have two N 5's I drove out to the pasture this spring.
