I am looking to upgrade to to a R62 and need to keep straw as long as possible for baling. I have been runing a R50, and looking at the cage on a 62 it sure looks like it could grind a lot more straw up.
1. If I pull every other bar (as per mod section)could I use one of the cylinder bars I take out instead of a bar from a F. The bars I had went to scrap iron many years ago.
2. How tight do you run a adjustable seperator grate to get the longest straw.
3. How hard is it to take a chopper out and put a impeller in. How long does it take. Is it something I could put in for beans and than switch out for corn and oats (I have been running a R50 and see no need for a chopper in corn).
4. Any other tips for getting the most straw possible.
