Changing the chopper out is a pain and not real fast at all. we have on our machines done the 1/2 high pitch helical update and moved helicals to the end and full lenght bars into discharge and in our opinion it does not chew the straw as well as it did before. we have the finecut chopper so not sure what a standard chopper would do for a final job.
