yes there was a 'kit' for first two years production of R40/50's. We installed them, then went back to using 2 idlers, the origional and the new idler on the weld on brkt and a longer chain forming a U around the spkt on the dist conveyor. This works much better. 71361636 was the kit # You might want to locate a bulletin, main, #13, for a bunch of other updates that was supposed to be done to all early models. 71336105 is the plate that shows where the new idler take up bracket was relocated to.
