Tried to adjust the clean grain chain today and before I got it tight I noticed that the drive belt was rubbing on the idler pivot. There is no half link to remove so this must mean that I've gotten the good out of it. An Agco chain is $670 and one from Abilene Machine is $495 (133 links), they have another one (140 links) for $397. Can the longer one be shortened? What is the reason for the two sizes?

I plan to also change the sprockets, any pointers on doing this? Will the cross auger slide to the left enough to change the sprocket or does the boot have to come apart?
