Got a new clean grain elevator chain from Abilene Machine and for some reason it seems short. It came with one offset link and a connector link. When installed I needed three more offset links to connect it, will this cause a problem since this area has a bigger gap between paddles? The adjustment at the top is as low as it can go.

The old chain and the new one have the same amount of links and are both CA550 chain. It just seems odd that one would need all of those offsets. There is 8.25" difference between the two.
