Please forgive my ignorance, and requesting comments. I have been running 6 row 30" planter for past 5 years, using F series combine with 4 row corn head, and 13' bean head. Want to upgrade to newer machine, 6 row corn head, the hill country I farm in, 15' bean head is about as large as I think I need to go. Talked with local dealer(40 miles away in flat country) who has a 1996 R62, the machine was priced without heads, but an 8 row corn head and 22' bean head is available. Have only talked with him by telephone, not been to his lot to look at the machine yet. My question is should I consider the combine and search for heads elsewhere, or try to find complete package elsewhere. Which series heads would I need to look for, if I were to buy the combine, but not the heads. Thanks in advance for any and all comments.
