We don't have any hyper mods on this machine (this is our first Gleaner) and I just found this discussion board so we had no idea these types of mods were available. We don't have the hump kit on the stone door, so I assume we have a sump. Is the helical extension that you are asking about the same one that is suggested as a Mod? At times, the wad of beans comes right out of the feeder house and sometimes it takes about 20-30 seconds running in reverse to come out. I am looking at a cut away picture and see that there are 2 feeder house chains...a lower and an upper. Could the beans be getting wadded up because the upper chain isn't picking them up to take them to the rotor? Most of the guys that run Gleaners around the area say they have the same issue and have to back out, reverse feeder house and run it forward again. So the dealer/mechanic doesn’t know how to fix this issue.
