Techvan had us go out and replace one in early '90s. Have not had any fail on us. Did you weld or replace bracket? Are pins that intersect rubber drive wore funny or did they break. I believe they were broke when we went to replace bracket. If your pins are broke you might want to be sure you reinstall them tight enough. If loose they may break off in threads one at a time and jerk pump and bracket around. Do you notice any vibration near engine when you have it reved up. Don't know what else to guess at. Good luck
