Cracking beans to me says to many rpms on the cylinder. I run mine between 500-625. If they dont shell from the pod close down the cylinder clearance, I am always at 7/16" unless the trash and stems are really large. I run my cylinder speed up just till they start cracking and then set it back a bit. One other thing, the faster you run the cylinder, the more HP it takes. At 600 it is 1/4 of the engine rpm, at 1200 for wheat it is 1/2 the engine rpm. what a tourque load........... Good Luck
