Steve Gallimore Gleaner Tip

Anyone with a R40-50+ that has a slight oil seep on the hydro, where the activation lever from the cable control is, might try this:

Clean it good.  Flush with loctite clean and cure primer.  Blow it off and do it again.  Wiggle the little sleeve that holds the seal as this is where the seep is generally - not the seal itself.  Pour a generous amount of loctite - you choose the formula.  I like the o-ring seal red goopy stuff - around the sleeve and again wiggle the sleeve to let the loctite go down.  Let it cure overnight.... have fixed several this way. 

Cheap and easy.. hope it helps as a TIP!
