We bought a new chain for our 8560 with plastic paddles several years ago. We broke off so many that we replaced every one with the old rubber ones from the old chain. Thankfuly we kept them! We have moved on to a 8780 and just replaced the chains. We didn't dare make the same mistake twice. Some seem to get by with plastic. Good luck with your choice.
