The HDPE worked very well for 2 seasons. In the third season, the HDPE started to crack and pieces broke off. Since the combine is stored outside, I guess the sun's UV was breaking down the plastic. I don't believe it would be a problem if the machine was kept inside. So for me, it's back to galvanized sheet metal.
