850 rpm on the cylinder speed and 5/16 front concave, 1/8 rear concave is what the book says. we custom combine a lot and we run the cylinder at 1150, with the concave up as close as we can get it. also we have installed 3 blanking plants in the concave to get the beards off at the cylinder. the farmers don't like all the ground up straw but they sure do like all the grain in the tank.
