There is currently work being done by several individuals to improve this. NH is aware of the problem and is working with NH's Chopper manufacturer to improve the spreading capabilities. Hopefully by the time the 2004 model years roll down the assembly line a new chopper design will be in place. I do agree with you that the problem originates from the roller not being able to accelerate material into the chopper.
