I think you are doing the right thing by getting the Loewen replacement augers. I have found that they are the very best.

I know what you are talking about on the bubble-up auger wearing thru in between the hard surface weld that was on there. The new one will be a big improvement.

In regard to the auger in the bottom of the grain tank. I imagine the only place that it is worn is right near the left end just befor it goes into the unloading tube. I put poly on the flighting on several of mine. You need to still have enough metal to bolt the poly to. Mine wore very well.
